Nikita is an Icelandic clothing brand, founded in early 2000 by its head designer Heida Birgisdottir in a small shop she had downtown in Reykjavik, Iceland. Being the only street wear label from Iceland, Nikita has come a long way since it was founded 9 years ago. Now, the label carries over 100 street wear garments, ranging from Jackets, Pants, Fleece, Denim, Dresses, Skirts, Tops, Knits, Hoodies, Basic Hoodies, Tees, Beanies, Scarves, Belts, to Bags.
Despite tailor-engineering her clothes for active lifestyles, a lot of Nikita pieces – such as halter tops, dresses, jackets and skirts can also be worn casually on a date or a party. Outside its active lifestyle endeavors, Nikita continues to cater to the ever-growing needs of chic active women out there and tries its best on creating tasteful clothes for “girls who ride.”
The company still has its headquarters in Reykjavik, but now also has offices in San Francisco, Hamburg and Hossegor. The brand's designs are available in some 1500 stores in just over 30 countries worldwide.
