I`ve been looking around to buy some snowboard pants with some padding in them because I crash hard and fast and often... KOOK? Not at all, I`m just into pushing my limits every session.
So I buy a pair of the Aegix Hux pants. Try em on at home and I`m kinda bummed that the pads don`t cover the bits they`re supposed to cover!!! Get out on the snow with them and find that the padding is always in the wrong place and/or gets pushed out of the way when I crash.
Tried a few things to get the tail pad happening but I either end up with pants that crush my nuts or a pad the scoops snow into my pants!
I removed and hand-stitched the knee pads into the place they should have been (5cm lateral and higher on both legs) and now they work pretty good.
The hip pads are nearly in the right place and will probably protect my hip bones from the zip closure which sits right in the middle of the pad...I can`t fathom that "feature" at all.
Last compaint is the cut, I`ve got pretty skinny legs and I`m sure that if they were just a bit fatter I`d never get them into the thigh section, feels like they were made for legs skinnier than mine. YUK! I feel like joining the Ramones with these pants on.
